Tutorial - How to make paper flowers

This latest tutorial is contributed by Jessy.  Thanks so much for sharing this technique on how to make paper flowers using our old magazines.  This is such a great way to recycle ladies!

Step no 1:  Cut a scalloped shape from the magazine print.  We have used the Spellbinders dies here.  You can always use whatever you have - e.g. scalloped punch would do this job nicely.

Step no 2:  Spray the scalloped die cut with any glimmer mist that you have.
Tip - if you do not own any, how about adding some pearl powder to some distress inks reinkers and some water in a spray bottle and spray it on.  That should work fine.  Otherwise regular water colour mixed with some pearl powder and water  and give it a go.

Step no 3:  After it is dry,  scrunch the flower up the way Jessy has demonstrated here.

Step no 4:  To secure the scrunches,  pinch the bottom to resemble a tip.

Step no 5:  Voila - you have a flower base.

Step no 6. Try embellishing it with a small flower and add a pearl for the flower center.

If you have other more fun tips and techniques,  do share it with us here at Scrapping Inspirations.
